10th Wesley Scarbrough Invitational Golf Tournament

On April 13, 1995, the Northwest Rankin Baseball Field was formally dedicated to Wesley Scarbrough.  Wesley was an outstanding NWR student athlete who made a lasting contribution to our baseball program.  He contributed not only with his baseball talents, but also with his smiling beacon of courage and character.

 

Throughout his 18 month battle with cancer, Wesley strived to be his best both on and off the field.  His strong spirit never faltered.  His dedication, fortitude, leadership and true love for the game has set a standard for all NWR baseball players – past,present and future – to emulate.  Wesley instilled in our hearts the spirit to reach a little deeper, practice a little harder, endure a little longer and set our goals a little higher.

 

This golf tournament will further the memory and spirit of Wesley. 
All proceeds raised from the tournament will go to the Wesley Scarbrough Scholarship Foundation to help
further the education of deserving students. 
The Wesley Scarbrough Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization,
whose tax identification number is 64-0936349.

 

Lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. and the tournament will begin at 1:00 on Friday, October  8, 2010. 
Due to such an overwhelming response in previous years, the tournament will be limited to the first 30 teams paid.

 

Following the event, there will be a social hour with food and refreshments.
